ROCKWALL – Rockwall Police are searching for the two men in this video who robbed the Zale’s Jewelry Outlet Store yesterday afternoon in the Plaza at Rockwall shopping center, where Dick’s Sporting Goods and JCPenney are located.
According to police, store employees reported that at approximately 1:15 pm, two white males entered Zale’s and began looking around.
Surveillance cameras show one man – dressed in a black hat and black clothing – was greeted by an employee and ushered into the back of the store to look at jewelry.
The other – wearing a red hoodie and khaki shorts – stayed near the front door, yawning and stretching; giving security cameras a good look at his face.
After the first suspect asked to see a few rings, he suddenly jumped over the display case, kicking the jeweler in the face in the process. Then he grabbed an undetermined amount of jewelry and ran out of the store with his accomplice, leaving the two women who were working badly shaken.
Police describe both men in their mid to late 20’s. The suspect in black was described as being 5’10.” Suspect two by the door is about being 6’0” tall, thin build, wearing a red shirt and khaki shorts.
Police say the suspects in this case match the description and method of operation in a similar jewelry theft that took place at a Kay Jewelers location at Sherman Town Center Feb. 22.
